Cupla offers a range of home screen widgets that let you see your shared calendar, to-dos, grocery list, and countdowns at a glance — without opening the app. This article walks through how to add a Cupla widget on iOS and Android. For an overview of which widgets are available, see What widgets are available in Cupla?

Adding a Cupla widget on iPhone

  1. Unlock your iPhone and go to the home screen where you want to add the widget.

  2. Press and hold anywhere on the home screen until the apps start to jiggle. (Alternatively, long-press on an existing widget or empty space and tap Edit Home Screen.)

  3. Tap the + icon in the top left corner to open the widget selection menu.

  4. Scroll through the list or use the search bar at the top to find Cupla.

  5. Swipe left or right to preview the different Cupla widgets, then choose the one you want.

  6. Select a widget size — small, medium, or large — based on how much information you'd like to display.

  7. Tap Add Widget.

  8. Drag the widget to your preferred position, then tap Done in the top right corner to save.

Adding a Cupla widget on Android

The exact steps may vary slightly depending on your Android version and device manufacturer, but the flow is similar across most Androids:

  1. Unlock your phone and go to the home screen where you want to add the widget.

  2. Press and hold on an empty area of the home screen until a menu appears.

  3. Tap Widgets.

  4. Scroll through the list or search for Cupla.

  5. Press and hold the widget you want, then drag it to your preferred position on the home screen.

  6. Release to place the widget. If a size or configuration screen appears, follow the prompts to confirm.

Customising your widget

Some Cupla widgets can be customised after placement. For example, you can toggle off your partner's events to see only your own calendar, or switch between compact and expanded views.

On iPhone: Long-press the widget and select Edit Widget to adjust the available settings.

On Android: Long-press the widget — depending on your device, you'll see resize handles or an edit option.
