Please follow these steps to disconnect from your partner:
Tap the menu icon (☰). Depending on your app version, it will appear either in the top-left corner of the Home screen or in the bottom-right corner of the tab bar
Tap your partners circle (in the top right)
Tap 'Disconnect from [Partner's name]'
Here you will be presented with three options
Delete All Events and To-Dos — removes all the events and to-dos you created, shared and individual alike.
Delete Shared Events and To-Dos — removes only the shared events and to-dos you created. Your individual events and to-dos stay in Cupla, so this is the one to choose if you are disconnecting in order to reconnect.
Reset My Account — returns your account to factory settings, removing your shared and individual events, to-dos, key dates and profile images.
Select the option you prefer and tap 'YES, I UNDERSTAND'
Please note, that the option you choose will permanently delete the data requested and cannot be restored.
If your partner has ended up in a new account
If your partner set Cupla up again — usually after getting a new phone — they may have created a second account without meaning to. Their app then shows Invite your partner while yours still shows them as connected, because you are connected to the account they no longer use.
Before you disconnect, check whether they can simply sign back in to their original account: that keeps everything the two of you have shared. See We look connected on my partner's app, but not on mine.
If they would rather keep the new account, you are the one who has to act:
Disconnect from their old account using the steps above, choosing Delete Shared Events and To-Dos so your own events and to-dos stay in place.
Ask them to send you a fresh invite link from the new account, or to give you its 6-digit code. See How do I sync with my partner?
