How do I change my timezone?

Cupla sets your timezone automatically from your phone — there is no timezone setting in the app. If times look wrong after travelling or moving, fix your phone's timezone and reopen Cupla.

Cupla sets your timezone automatically from your phone, so there is no timezone setting inside the app. Whenever you open Cupla, it checks your phone's timezone and updates your account to match.

Changing your timezone

Change it on your phone, then open Cupla:

  1. Open your phone's Settings and set the correct timezone — on iPhone under General → Date & Time, on Android under System → Date & time. Turning on the automatic option lets your phone keep it right for you.

  2. Open Cupla. Your account picks up the new timezone, and your calendar shifts to match.

If you have travelled or moved and your times look wrong, this is almost always the fix: the phone is still on the old timezone, and Cupla is faithfully following it.

If your partner is in a different timezone

Each of you sees every event at your own local time — nothing needs setting up. When your timezones differ, the calendar's day view also shows a second row of hours in your partner's local time, labelled with how far ahead or behind they are, so you can see at a glance what a time means for them.

If your times still look wrong after fixing your phone's timezone and reopening Cupla, message our support team from the app and we will take a look.
