You can choose which calendars appear in Cupla from Calendar Settings > Calendar Connections.
In general, you should sync any calendars you want to appear in Cupla and share with your partner. This might include your personal calendar, work calendar, family calendar, or any other calendar you use to manage your schedule.
Choosing which calendars to show
If a calendar is selected in Calendar Connections, its events will appear in Cupla. If you do not want a calendar to appear in Cupla, leave it unselected.
You may want to leave out calendars that are not useful for planning together, such as old calendars, duplicate calendars, public holiday calendars, or calendars you no longer use.
Sharing event details with your partner
For each calendar, you can choose whether your partner can see the event details, such as the event name.
If event details are shared, your partner can see more information about those events. If event details are not shared, your partner can still see when you are unavailable, but the event will appear as Busy.
How to update a calendar
Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the Home screen. If there is no ☰ on your Home screen, tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen instead.
Tap Calendar Settings.
Tap Calendar Connections.
Select the calendars you want to appear in Cupla.
Tap the pencil icon beside a calendar to update its settings.
Choose whether to share event details with your partner.
Tap Save.
If a calendar you connected has stopped appearing
Cupla stops syncing a calendar as soon as your phone reports that it is no longer there, and nothing on screen tells you it has happened.
To bring it back, open Calendar Connections, tick the calendar again under Device Calendars and tap Save. Its events come back with it.
If it is your partner's schedule that has gone blank, it is their Calendar Connections to check, on their own phone.
How much of your calendar reaches Cupla
Cupla shows the events your phone's calendar currently holds. If your phone keeps only recent history, that is all that reaches Cupla.
On an iPhone, you can change how far back it keeps:
Open Settings, tap Apps, then Calendar, then Sync.
Choose All Events.
Open Cupla and tap the menu icon (☰).
Tap Calendar Settings.
Tap Resync Calendars.
Your older events will come through with the next sync.
Older events are not the only thing that can be missing. If the calendar comes from a Google or Outlook account that syncs to your phone, your phone's copy can also be short of current and future events. Connecting that account under Direct Connect reads it from Google or Outlook directly, so everything in the account reaches Cupla.
