If you have deleted an event and it still appears in Cupla, the copy of that calendar Cupla is reading is no longer receiving deletions. The cause — and the fix — depends on your phone.
First, check the event wasn't added in Cupla itself. Open it: if you see Delete Event at the bottom (on iPhone, tap the pencil first), it lives only in Cupla, so deleting it in Google or another calendar app can't remove it. Tap Delete Event and confirm.
On iPhone: calendars from an old device
The event may have been originally created on a different device (such as an old iPhone or Mac), which can create a duplicate calendar within Apple. Try the following:
Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the Home screen. If there is no ☰ on your Home screen, tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen instead.
Tap Calendar Settings.
Tap Calendar Connections.
Scroll to the bottom of the screen. If there are calendars from another device stored in Cupla, they will appear here. Tap the name of each one — the row itself, not the switch on it — and the coloured ring beside the name turns grey.
Tap Save.
On Android: the same Google account connected twice
If you set up Direct Connect for a Google account your phone already syncs, Cupla holds that calendar twice: a copy read from your phone, listed under Device Calendars, and the live Google connection, listed under Direct Connect. The phone's copy can keep events you have already deleted in Google — this often happens after reinstalling the app or clearing its storage.
The fix is to keep the Direct Connect version and remove the phone's copy:
Tap the menu icon (☰) in the top-left corner of the Home screen. If there is no ☰ on your Home screen, tap More in the bottom-right corner of the screen instead.
Tap Calendar Settings, then Calendar Connections.
Under Device Calendars, find the group headed GOOGLE with that Gmail address, and tap the name of every calendar in the group — the row itself, not the switch on it. The coloured ring beside each name turns grey and the Share event details switch disappears from the row.
Leave the Direct Connect section as it is.
Tap Save.
Nothing goes missing: Direct Connect carries the same calendar straight from Google, so your events stay in Cupla — and anything you delete in Google now drops out of Cupla too.
Please allow up to 20 seconds for the changes to take effect.
On Android: a calendar only your phone holds
If that calendar is on your phone and nowhere else — you have not set up Direct Connect for the account — Cupla keeps its own record of the events it has already read from your phone, and that record lives inside the app. Reinstalling Cupla, or clearing its storage, empties it. Anything you deleted from your phone's calendar while the app was away then stays in Cupla, and later syncs will not clear it. Resyncing calendars and saving Calendar Connections again do not help either. Message our support team from the app with the date and name of the event, and we will remove it for you.
